Electrodes/Water Cell

 Though out of sight, the 5 pieces of electrodes are the single most important component that determines the quality of your ionized water.

The largest producers of water ionizers; Japan and Korea and their Ministries of Health recognize ionizers as health devices that require a factory medical number and their own certification. From stainless steel today, the certified gold standard is platinum coated titanium.

Titanium; inert, light with the best weight-to-strength ratio, non-corrosive and very hard is ideal for long years of service. With a solid platinum coat as compared to epoxy-like baked iridium, the water is consistently and safely ionized. The platinum coated titanium plates do not have any lifespan limitations.

 Filters

 The replacement filter for Toyo Water Ionizers are extremely high quality. They provide pre and post-particle filtration and pre and post-carbon filtration. The Activated-Carbon filter is silver impregnated in order to retard bacterial growth on the carbon. This is very important if the water supply is a well or other non-municipal system because of the bacteria associated with those systems. The silver can not possibly leach into the water, even though silver is not harmful. The carbon filter removes 99% of chlorine, a known carcinogen, out of municipal water. The carbon filter also removes VOC's (volatile organic chemicals) such as benzene and trihalomethanes, also known carcinogens.  The replacement filter contains coral calcium to add more alkaline minerals to the drinking water.  In addition, the filter also has tourmaline stone to energize the water besides removing chlorine and other heavy metals from the water.  The particle filtration on the unit is less than 0.01 micron, removing virtually all free floating material from any water.  This level of filtration is equivalent to that of dialysis machine use for kidney dialysis treatment.
